Convenience trolley gets some new wheels

Thanks to Ross River Solar Farm, Brighter Lives now has a brand new convenience trolley.

The 'shop on wheels' visits wards around Townsville University Hospital each day so that patients can buy items such as snacks, sugar-free soft drinks, magazines, toys, toiletries and other convenience items. 

The trolley is operated by volunteers who not only bring items directly to patients in beds, but also take time to have a chat to brighten patients' days. 

The brand new trolley got a spin around the hospital, with Brighter Lives mascot, Bandi Bear, giving hugs and high fives to kids in the paediatric ward.
